Our Client: A Leader in Energy Smart-Tech 

Working at the technological forefront, our client is leading the UK switchover to green energy and helping to deliver a carbon net zero and carbon neutral Britain by 2050.

They are leading the design, build, test and integration of the data and communications infrastructure to connect smart meters with the business systems of energy suppliers, network operators and other authorised users.


Our Brief: Delivering the People who will Deliver the Future

We were asked to effectively partner the business in building out their existing Customer and Stakeholder Engagement and Regulation areas. 

We immediately identified the need to approach strategically and engage with individuals who not only have specific experience of operating within a heavily regulated environment, but who also demonstrate razor-sharp commercial acumen and the ability to operate at pace.


The Challenge & Our Approach: Discretion & Detail

We ascertained that, due to our client being known to the audience and in many cases in a close-range relationship, we took care to be discreet whilst also being precise in communicating client needs.

In other words, we were required to fully reveal the brand, hiring need and specific skillset/character type needed whilst also respecting the discreet nature of our client’s government regulated initiative.

Due to the specialist nature of the project, we were required to deliver directly into Senior Directors within the business, whilst also maintaining full dialogue with the internal talent suite. Engaged as sole suppliers, we committed to providing detail in depth and breadth, from the outset and throughout the assignment:

  • Comparable salary survey details
  • Weekly reporting on candidate response rate activity, audience reception & success points
  • Throughput of longlist & shortlist detail, subsequent interview activity and offers made
