Oracle Service Consultant (Functional)

Resource needs to be an expert in Depot Repair module to immediately come up to speed on migration requirements, on ICUs process and to support testing. This resource will immediately support testing (both user testing and development testing to verify delivery of business specifications) – testing is focused on Depot Repair, Installed Base, Field Service and Service Contracts. Resource needs to provide local EMEA support; therefore, a person who is in EMEA is preferred but a US-based resource located in Eastern time (Central time at the latest) that could travel for extended periods of time would also work out. A nice-to-have would be for the resource to speak German, English language is the primary language used for the project.

• Resource needs to have hands-on experience in Depot Repair, Installed Base, Field Service and/or Service Contracts. We’re looking for someone who has configured, implemented and/or solutioned the modules.
• Cross functional business and Oracle support: This resource needs a good process knowledge of Oracle EBS Depot Repair module and an good understanding of Order Management, Inventory & Finance modules – resource needs skill set to come up to speed quickly for what impacts Service.
o We need this person to be the lead cross-workstream interface for Service.
o This resource will lead effort to refine documentation of both business processes and technical Oracle flows for device service and field service requirements including the interfaces cross-workstream.
o The resources will become one of Service’s key subject matter experts to support the business readiness for go-live.
• Reporting: This resource needs to handle the closure of all reporting requirements for ICUs EMEA Service workstream.
o We need this person to come up to speed quickly on Oracle reporting designs that are documented for Contracts, Installed Base and Depot Repair. Some of these reports are used with a custom non-oracle application “e-TecService” (a service shop floor management system) and this resource will provide support for this implementation.
o Skills in OBIEE and Power BI are also ‘nice-to-haves’ because Service is considering the effort involved in dashboarding.
o Skills to query Oracle are important to support retrieval of data for business single-use project implementation and clean-up activities (SQL required).
• Local support: This resource will provide local technical support (verbal and presentation) to business users and project technical resources (IT; BSAs) during design implementation, testing, training support, and go-live phases.
o We need a resource to go between Nijmegen, Netherlands and Grasbrunn, Germany for face-to-face working sessions … and when working remotely or for extended periods in the European time zone.
o A person who can effectively work with business resources to transfer Oracle process knowledge (with documentation in addition to discussion) is critical.
• Service workstream liaison: At this stage of the project, we will need a good business liaison with technical skills.
o This person would help finalize test cases, test, refine/document flows, and resolve new process issues with the cross-functional BSAs and IT. The person will own some of these deliverables in addition to supporting others cross-functionally. This person must be willing to deliver PowerPoint slides, etc. to effectively communicate concepts and decisions.
o Act as a liaison between users and IT to support requirements and work closely with track BSA leads.
• Strong SQL and Oracle knowledge.
• Communication:
o We need a technical resource that can translate technical aspects of the project into business terms.
o In addition to describing situations and decisions verbally, communications will utilize PowerPoint to summarize flows and decisions – this person needs to be comfortable with using PowerPoint to deliver clear messaging.
