Lead Cyber Security Operations Analyst

Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid - minimum 8 days per month in office)

Salary: £60,000 - £67,000

We're partnered with a fast-growing, innovative organization that is building the largest smart secure network in Britain. They are looking for a Lead Cyber Security Operations Analyst to join their team and be at the forefront of their cyber defence. The Role

As the technical leader in their Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will be the primary point of contact during security incidents. You'll use your expertise to investigate, contain, and mitigate threats. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the security capabilities of a crucial national asset and mentor junior analysts. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading security investigations and major incidents.
• Developing new detection content, including advanced analytics and security automation.
• Providing operational oversight and support to the SOC team.
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to identify and implement security improvements.
• Shaping threat intelligence capabilities and advising on best practices for the wider industry.

What we're looking for

Our client needs someone with a strong background in cyber security, an in-depth understanding of the threat landscape, and a passion for protecting critical systems. The ideal candidate will have:

• Expertise in incident management and response, with proven experience leading investigations in complex environments.
• In-depth knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and advanced adversary tactics.
• Prior experience in a Security Operations role.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and SaaS applications like AWS, Azure, Office 365, and Defender.
• The ability to gain and hold HMG Security Clearance (SC).
