Title: DevOps Engineer (Software Engineering)

Location: Hybrid | Newcastle (3 days per week onsite)

Day Rate: Up to £501.66 PAYE

Start: 10^th Dec 2025 – 31^st March 2026

*Must be Security Cleared*

Responsibilities:

• Be SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively.
• Define the cloud security framework and architecture, ensuring it meets the business requirements and performance goals.
• Conduct regular assessments of cloud security controls to ensure compliance and effectiveness.                  
• Document the implementation of the cloud security controls and transition to cloud security-managed operations.
• Responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Develop innovative security solutions that align with the overall cloud strategy.                        
• Lead training sessions to enhance team knowledge on cloud security best practices.              
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.                        
• Stay updated on the latest cloud security trends and technologies to continuously improve the security framework.

Experience:

• Expert proficiency in DevOps
• Advanced proficiency in Git
• Advanced proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security Architecture, GitLab CI/CD, and Managed Cloud Security Services
