Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale BI solutions that drive strategic decision-making. This is a fully remote, EU-based contract role offering the chance to work on cutting-edge data initiatives within a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise along with a strong understanding of business processes, capable of shaping and evolving a robust BI architecture that empowers data-driven leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve modern BI architecture to support dynamic, cross-functional decision-making.

• Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to define architectural scope, boundaries, and integration points.

• Serve as a strategic liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure solution alignment.

• Lead validation of prototypes, solution blueprints, and project milestones from a business alignment perspective.

• Promote architectural vision and support adoption through stakeholder engagement and change management.

• Partner with business users to uncover needs for advanced analytics, self-service, and data storytelling.

• Oversee implementation with engineering and QA teams, ensuring architectural integrity.

• Streamline and improve data flows, quality, and governance processes to enhance analytic reliability and value.

• Stay current on BI trends and emerging technologies, advising leadership on innovation opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Balanced mix of technical and business acumen.

• Proven experience in enterprise-scale BI architecture across full development lifecycles.

• Proficiency with BI platforms such as Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, and related technologies.

• Strong SQL skills and experience designing performant analytical database models.

• Expertise in semantic models, OLAP strategies, data delivery frameworks, and usage analytics.

• Ability to evaluate and recommend architectural design options with strategic foresight.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to balance governance, agility, and technical feasibility.

• A strong, customer-focused mindset with a collaborative leadership style.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Enterprise Data Management tools (catalogues, metadata, lineage).

• Proficiency in requirements planning and documentation.

• Domain knowledge in R&D analytics, project/portfolio management, or strategic planning systems.
