The company provides end-to-end electric metering solutions, specialising in design, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning. Its UKAS-accredited lab produces high-accuracy metering systems used by National Grid, major UK power stations, and offshore wind farms.


Role Overview

The Workshop Technician is responsible for assembling and wiring high-accuracy metering systems in floor-standing cubicles and wall-mounted enclosures. Key duties include:

  • Reading and following electrical wiring diagrams to ensure compliance.
  • Wiring panels neatly and efficiently.
  • Adhering to safety rules, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Delivering high-quality workmanship to meet business targets and customer satisfaction.
  • Checking, testing, and recording results of completed work.
  • Updating drawings to reflect as-built status.
  • Using hand and wiring tools efficiently.
  • Collaborating effectively within the workshop team and environment
  • Occasionally supporting site installation work.


Requirements

  • Understanding of electrical diagrams.
  • Experience wiring or as a wireman
  • Ideally experience with control panels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proactive team player.
