Salary: GBP 36000 - GBP 40000 per year

Location: Hebburn – 2 days a week in the office, remote 3 days 

 

We are recruiting for an Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor for our client based in the North East of England.

We are looking for some who has a passion for creating a more sustainable, safer and healthier working environment whether that is working across customer sites, office spaces and even employees homes.

This is an electrification automation and digitalisation business who pride themselves on leading the way in their field.  Their commitment to sustainability and NetZero initiatives sets them apart as a forward-thinking and socially responsible organisation.  You will be supporting Projects and Servicing activities.

 

Duties to include:
  • Support delivery of outstanding EHS performance across all work sites.
  • Support delivery of an EHS-driven culture by actively engaging with employees and contractors at all levels and influencing behaviour.
  • Provide EHS advice, considering changing business needs and technological advancements, to ensure effective risk control.
  • Support delivery of conformance with EHS requirements through the management of an externally certified management system (ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to share best practices and elevate EHS standards.
  • Lead incident investigations and share lessons learned to continuously improve our safety performance.
  • Support the development of and implementation of EHS risk-based strategies to enhance safety performance in key risk areas.
  • Support compliance with EHS training and competency requirements and deliver induction training.
  • Identify digitalisation opportunities to meet future EHS needs of the business.


You will need experience of:
  • Having a NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Investigation experience
  • Auditing experience
  • Member of IOSH or working towards
  • A UK Driving Licence for occasional travel between the company and customer sites
